A Family Affair – We Recommend!

My grandson had his baby naming celebration at Pleasant Home. The space was perfect for a 70 plus family affair. Beautiful home, wonderful park and places for adults and children to enjoy.  I would highly recommend Pleasant Home to anyone planning a wedding or other family event.

Such a Beautiful Spot

I recently held my wedding ceremony at the Pleasant Home, and we are very happy with this venue. Using Pleasant Home for the ceremony was just great. It's such a beautiful spot, our guests were impressed and commented frequently.

Perfect For Our Family

We held a family celebration at Pleasant Home and the entire experience was perfection!  Of course the home is beautiful, and everyone can learn about the history because their tour guides (Paul and their docents) are very knowledgeable.

More beautiful than I could have imagined

More beautiful than I could have imagined - it's the only way I can describe our recent wedding at Pleasant Home. From our initial meeting w/the helpful staff, thru the ongoing planning and then the big day - things could not have been easier or better. We had fifty guests, with the ceremony on the front porch and the cocktail reception in the house - it was even more beautiful than my husband and I had hoped. We would recommend Pleasant Home to anyone!

Above and Beyond!

Great place for a small ceremony. Beautiful for pictures. Had nothing but compliments from our guests. Great event coordinator as well who went above and beyond to make the day great!

Highly Recommend!

The Pleasant Home was absolutely gorgeous. It was everything my husband and I dreamed of. We were married outside in front of the house in front of the gorgeous tree. It was a dream. We took the most beautiful wedding photos around the grounds of the house and inside. It was extremely affordable but totally stunning and gorgeous. It's conveniently close to the green line which made transportation to our west loop reception for our guests (and the bridal party!) very easy. The staff was fabulous. They helped us set up our lanterns and our trellis the day of the ceremony ... I highly recommend this venue!

First Class all the way!

I generally do not take time to write reviews but the venue and experience at The Pleasant Home was so incredible I would be remiss not to encourage others to look at this venue for their wedding. We had a small intimate ceremony with only 30 guests. We were able to have it in the great hall which is the beautiful foyer of the home. We actually got married in front of the fireplace and my husband and I both proceeded down the beautiful staircase through our guests for the ceremony. It was truly beautiful. The staff at The Pleasant Home were second to none...there attention to detail and ease of working with was incredible. If you want an experience unlike the traditional venues this is the place! First class all the way!
